Our lab is looking for highly motivated scientists with a desire to engage in multidisciplinary research at the interface of chemistry and biology.

Technicians

We are currently looking for technicians proficient in organic synthesis or molecular and cell biology. Please submit your resume, publications, and contact information for references to Professor Nomura by e-mail. Please include a short description of your research interests and long-term goals. This should include statements about your specific research interests in our lab, term of appointment (temporary, 1 year, vs. long-term), skills you have, skills you would like to obtain, and why you feel our research environment would be a good fit for you and vice versa.

Undergrauate students

Contact Professor Nomura by e-mail and provide a resume and short description of your major, research experience, interests, and long-term goals. Please also provide the days and times that you will be able to devote to the lab. We generally prefer 1st-3rd year students who can devote at least 2 days a week, 5 continuous hours per day

Graduate students

Potential graduate students, please visit for admission policies and applications. Current graduate students, please contact Professor Daniel Nomura to set up a meeting. Professor Nomura is affiliated with the following graduate groups:

  • Chemistry
  • Chemical Biology
  • Molecular and Cell Biology
  • Metabolic Biology
  • Molecular Toxicology
  • Endocrinology

Postdoctoral associates

Our group is looking for organic chemists, chemical biologist, biochemists, cell biologists, or computational biologists who are interested in chemical biology, chemoproteomics, targeted protein degradation, induced proximity paradigms, and drug discovery. Please submit your CV, publications, and contact information for references to Professor Nomura by e-mail. Please include a short description of your research interests, long-term goals, and possible start dates.

“Science is more fun when it’s collaborative and in the Nomura lab I have labmates who are there to talk through my experimental roadblocks just like they are to celebrate my breakthroughs.”

Jessica Spradlin – NCI F99/K00 Predoctoral to Postdoctoral Transition Fellow

“It’s very exciting to be working at the intersection of academia and industry to advance drug development and discovery using chemoproteomic platforms. I am lucky to have labmates who are not only brilliant mentors, but good friends whom I look up to and am inspired by everyday.”
